Superstars That Can Change WWE With a Royal Rumble Win

Having been a wrestling fan for the better part of two decades, it has been nearly impossible to watch the current WWE product with a smile on my face.

There are a myriad of reasons for this; non-creative reuses of old story lines, pushing superstars who aren’t ready for the spotlight or the fans reject, not pushing superstars who the fans have admired organically, and all of these damn injuries to an already thin roster.

Having said all this, January 24th will mark the second time in WWE history that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line in the Royal Rumble match, the annual 30-man over-the-top battle royal that is the kick-start to Wrestlemania season. With Durant Injured, Westbrook, Thunder Must Step Up

Reigning league MVP Kevin Durant is going to be sidelined with a fractured foot for 6-8 weeks. With that being said, the Oklahoma City Thunder need to think forward and prepare for basketball without the four-time scoring champ.

With two weeks remaining until the season begins, the Thunder should only have to hold out for November while their MVP’s foot heals.

According to basketball-reference.com, from the start of the season until December 2 (roughly eight weeks after Durant’s injury), the Thunder have 16 games with just over half against playoff teams from last year. If the Thunder were to lose the majority of those games, it would make their playoff chances awfully grim.
