Having been a wrestling fan for the better part of two decades, it has been nearly impossible to watch the current WWE product with a smile on my face.

There are a myriad of reasons for this; non-creative reuses of old story lines, pushing superstars who aren’t ready for the spotlight or the fans reject, not pushing superstars who the fans have admired organically, and all of these damn injuries to an already thin roster.

Having said all this, January 24th will mark the second time in WWE history that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line in the Royal Rumble match, the annual 30-man over-the-top battle royal that is the kick-start to Wrestlemania season. With the title on the line, here are the WWE superstars that could right the ship and change WWE with a title reign going into the showcase of the immortals.
